Abstract:
Ground moving targets detection and tracking using airborne radar data is a subject of increasing interest. Multiple aperture antenna radars allow detecting and tracking slow targets even in strong clutter environments. On the other hand, high resolution SAR images obtained with one single antenna are of interest for detecting moving targets with a high backscattering level but are insufficient to geolocalize them. In this paper, we present a technique to track and geolocalize moving targets in SAR images acquired on a circular trajectory with only one aperture radar. The geographic coordinates are retrieved by modelling both defocusing and delocalizing effects on, at least, two images acquired from two different headings. Results are presented on synthetic data as well as on real data.
