Abstract:
This paper concentrates on image aberrations due to platform trajectory deviation on squint SAR data processing, by evaluating the disturbed SAR spectrum in terms of Doppler properties, and investigates the reason of image degradation with squint angle increasing in the presence of trajectory deviation. It is shown that certain range-walk removal strategy helps reduce squint SAR data sensitivity on motion error, and a new approach based on range-walk removal for spotlight SAR processing is proposed which can help minimize influence of trajectory deviation under varying Doppler parameters.
