Abstract:
Main design features of multi-aperture SAR system are described. Application of ultra-wide-band radar signals digital forming and processing technology (including optional modulation modes) enables realizing high performance characteristics and using operational flexibility of the SAR system. Design and characteristics of the SAR, that is based on polarimetric wide-band active phased array antenna and multichannel digital subsystem for signal processing are presents. The system uses technologies of 'multidimensional waveform encoding' for transmitted signal and 'digital beam forming' (DBF) for echoes. The design main qualitative characteristics are estimated for the multichannel SAR modes.
