Abstract:
NEC started lightweight SAR sensor for small satellite in 2009. This is X-band SAR sensor with resolution of less than 1 m. This SAR sensor will be mounted on NEC's 300 kg class standard satellite bus and the target of the total mass of SAR satellite is less than 500 kg. The features such as light mass and high resolution will be achieved by lightweight deployable mesh antenna, high power amplifier and wide band signal generator / processor.
