Abstract:
Digital prototypes and simulation technologies are widely used in the development of new technical systems. They allow cost- and time-efficient tests of multiple designs and the detection of design flaws in early stages of development. In addition to this, our new Virtual Testbed approach also covers the inner and outer dependencies of a digital prototype, providing a holistic simulation framework. Clearly defined internal and external interfaces enable the modeling, variation and simulation of complex digital prototypes under varying boundary conditions. Thus, the developer is able to keep track of the big picture and the interplay of the individual components.
