Abstract:
This paper presents a system-level modeling approach for MOST150-based automotive networks and extends an existing automotive virtual prototyping framework with a new virtual processing component. Due to the arbitration techniques of MOST150, a hierarchical approach for the modeling is presented that allows a separation of synchronous and asynchronous data areas. Moreover, it extends the methodology with capabilities for a dynamic stream reservation. This allows to influence the behavior of the MOST150 virtual component at simulation time. Furthermore, the complete modeling approach is presented in a case study and compared with Ethernet AVB based system architectures.
