Abstract:
An approach to automated compensation of tem- perature related mismatches of analog filters is presented. It is based on a field programmable analog array (FPAA) intended for usage as a configurable front-end for analog-to-digital conversion and digital signal processing. In this paper, a method to stabilize filter-functionality in harsh environments is discussed. A genetic algorithm adapts integrated analog filters to varying device characteristics through structural changes of the circuits, as well as parameter tuning. Thereby, it improves the perfor- mance and reliability of mixed-signal systems, which depend on these analog filters.
