Abstract:
Previously cyclostationary noise in semiconductors was discussed based on a model problem solved by the Monte Carlo method. In this abstract it is shown that this model problem has an exact analytical solution, which gives much more insight into the problem. It is shown that under technically relevant conditions, where the generation/recombination life times are much larger than the scattering times of the interactions with phonons and impurities, these processes are uncorrelated and the usual approximations for transport and noise hold under stationary and cyclostationary conditions.
