Abstract:
Load management require advanced non-intrusive algorithms for defining the load profile. Local "smart charging" of electric vehicle will enable power utilities to reduce the cost of upgrading the gird infrastructure to facilitated for the additional power that will be needed in the full mass deployment electric vehicle. In this paper a technique for the local charging of electric vehicle is presented, the said technique will enable the charging of numerous electric vehicles on existing infrastructure. This paper presents two algorithms, one for general electric loads and the other for electric vehicles. The non-intrusive term in this paper refers to either measurements at the point of common connection or to maintaining the smart grid electrical parameters.
