Abstract:
This paper outlines an architecture of a distributed spoken dialog system based exclusively on open-source components. These components comprise telephony, speech recognition, voice browser, and speech synthesis, all of which are to incorporate industrial standards as recommended by the W3C. Our work demonstrates that realworld spoken dialog systems can be built without use of proprietary components.
