Abstract:
In this paper, we consider a scenario where two energy harvesting sensors cooperate to transmit a common message to a distant base station. The goal is to find the jointly optimal transmission (power allocation) policy which maximizes the total throughput for a given deadline. To solve the problem, we propose a semi-analytical greedy approach that we conjecture to be optimal. Performance is extensively assessed by means of computer simulations. As a benchmark, we consider a strategy where the transmission policy is separately optimized for each sensor.
