Abstract:
This paper presents an organic differential amplifier design using gain enhancement feedback to achieve higher gain and more robust to Vt variation. The differential amplifier is designed using P-type organic thin-film transistors (OTFT) and a biased load with positive feedback providing the bias. The performance of the proposed circuit is compared with the ones having diode and cut-off load configuration. The proposed differential amplifier has a gain of 12 (V/V) approximately and is observed to be more robust to Vt variation. Thus the usage of positive feedback biased load combines the advantages of diode load and cut-off load. The circuits were operated with a VDD of -20 V.
