Abstract:
Optical technologies are investigated that allow for implementing converged optical metro-access infrastructures that can be used by multiple operators and services simultaneously and be flexibly reconfigured. The allocation of resources is based on establishing and managing independent optical pipes realized by optical wavebands, exploiting the entire accessible spectrum of fibers.
