Abstract:
Error correction is one of many fields, where the concept of Compressed Sensing (CS) can be applied. The resulting coding scheme is very sensitive to non-sparse noise, e.g., Additive White Gaussian Noise (AWGN), and has only been successfully applied to channels with impulsive noise. In order to overcome this obstacle, a code concatenation scheme is proposed, where a quantized CS-based error correcting code is used as outer code of a system based on code concatenation. In numerical simulations, the performance of the proposed scheme is evaluated.
