Abstract:
We exhibit a new representation of the generalized key equation introduced by Feng and Tzeng for the decoding of IRS codes. The new representation allows a straightforward generalization of their decoding algorithm to heterogeneous IRS codes. We further show how interleaved Hermitian codes can also be decoded with a very similar approach. We give pseudocode algorithms for both kinds of codes.
