Abstract:
A high efficiency dual half-bridge converter is proposed to achieve a zero voltage switching (ZVS) for a wide load range. The proposed circuit consists of the dual half bridge configuration in primary side, two voltage doublers rectifiers and the ZVS tank. The ZVS operation of the primary switches can be obtained with the ZVS tank in light load condition. An experimental prototype of 900W power converter is constructed and tested to verify the features of the proposed converter. As a result, more than 92% of high efficiency can be obtained at 10% load condition, and the ZVS operation is achieved from full load to 10% load condition.
