Abstract:
BT has a long term commitment to reduce its carbon impact. In line with BT’s energy & carbon strategy a rectifier replacement program of existing low efficiency power systems has been started. This paper introduces the trialling of the mentioned rectifier replacement technologies. The trial was performed on a limited number of life sites in the BT UK network. During this trial novel rectifier modernization technologies were implemented in order to control the cost for the rectifier replacement.
