Abstract:
A lower lightning current level in the main conductor is achieved by using a coaxial cable design. The lower inductance in the cable also reduces the voltage fluctuations during current changes. The important is to have the main part of lightning current in return and/or ground conductor/s. This reduce and slow down lightning pulse in main conductor to giving the lightning protection (SPD) less current and more time to act (start).
