Abstract:
A non-data aided adaptive search based precise and least-complexity frequency domain CD estimation algorithm is presented. The algorithm is designed for blind CD estimation in a two-step process. 112 Gb/s PDM-QPSK and 224 Gb/s PDM-16-QAM systems are simulated in order to evaluate the performance of our proposed CD estimation algorithm at 40 ps/nm resolution. Compared to other recent work, complexity is considerably reduced. The resilience of our proposed technique is also tested against PMD.
