Abstract:
Smart objects are enablers for high resolution supply chain management. However, companies struggle with the efficient integration of smart objects into their business processes. This paper discusses an approach to systematically support the design and implementation of smart objects in production and logistics applications. Models to structure and describe applications, as well as to support the search for solution elements are presented. Keywords — Smart objects, intelligent objects, system architecture, applications, production, logistics
