              Abstract:
In this paper, we propose a Multi-Branch Widely Linear Successive Interference Cancellation (MB-WL-SIC) detection technique, and demonstrate how this can be applied to a multi-user cooperative multi-input multi-output (MIMO) system utilising Amplify-and-Forward (AF) relays. The multiuser case is considered as an overloaded scenario, and it is shown that the proposed detection technique outperforms standard WL processing techniques and can approach the ML performance for a real-valued symbol constellation.
