Abstract:
A wideband synchronization system based on modulated m-sequences is presented. The baseband signal with a bandwidth of 1GHz is multiplied with a carrier of 2 GHz, producing BPSK modulation. The receiver performs carrier recovery, demodulation and feeds the recovered signal into an analog delay-lock loop for synchronization. The full system operated with a cable link between transmitter and receiver shows 2 ps of rms jitter.
