Abstract:
Compact antenna arrays are highly demanded by modern communication devices. Dimension reduction of antenna arrays causes significant problems such as mutual coupling between input ports and poor radiation efficiency. A two-port compact printed monopole antenna array for small terminals is designed and fabricated. The solution is simpler and cheaper as compared to alternative techniques. The proposed antenna array operates from 5 to 6.5 GHz; the distance between the radiation elements is less than 0.25lambda. Good matching and decoupling results are achieved, which is proven by both simulations and real device measurements.
