Abstract:
Both suppression of mutual couplings between antenna elements making use of a common substrate and improvement of isolation between orthogonal polarizations, are of paramount importance to successful implementation of new communication and remote sensing electromagnetic systems. In this paper, the method of suppressing mutual coupling in the antenna arrays by using a line of metamaterial spiral circuits placed in-between microstrip elements has been examined.
