Abstract:
We present a real-time optical OFDM transmitter that enables gross data rates up to 64 Gbit/s. It combines a 1024-point IFFT with the implementation of bit and power loading in order to achieve the flexibility required in next generation optical access networks. We also demonstrate 23.4 Gbit/s in the lab and 14.7 Gbit/s over 36 km SSMF in the field.
