Abstract:
The analysis of the ionospheric scintillation effect on the GEO SAR imaging is presented. At first, the simulations was carried out to illustrate the particular quality of the ionospheric effects on the GEO SAR. Then, the simulation of ionospheric random phase fluctuation affecting the GEO SAR imaging was also carried out, applying the multiple phase screen theory. At last, the optimal accumulation time of the GEO SAR processing was presented through Mento-Carlo simulations. Simulating results shows that the deterioration of the GEO SAR imaging defocusing becomes more grievous severer scintillation and longer synthetic aperture time.
