Abstract:
Ground-Based Synthetic Aperture Radar is a relatively new system for short ranges scene acquisition in just few minutes. It is very often employed in frequent monitoring applications and in emergency cases. In such situations a focusing procedure able to both keep low the computational cost and to account for the required level of accuracy is required. The compressive sensing theory can be employed in this framework: exploiting the undersampling of the acquired data the image generation process becomes faster, still retaining the information and without losses in the images quality.
