Abstract:
In this paper, we present a frequency-domain motion compensation technique that can compensate the platform's range- and azimuth-dependent motion error in the procedure of data focusing. By utilizing the non-uniform fast Fourier transform (NUFFT), both motion compensation and data focusing are effectively incorporated in the same processing step. To accommodate a wide image scene extension, the segmentation and recombination approaches are incorporated with the NUFFT. Experiment as well as simulation results with C-band aircraft SAR data validate the proposed motion compensation method.
