Abstract:
Speckle filtering has at least a 30 years history. The most common approaches are based on the filters proposed by Lee. Other authors suggested improvements such as wavelet or non-linear diffusion based filtering, total variation denoising etc.. In this paper a speckle filter which is based on the numerical solution of Volterra integral equations, will be proposed. Further, some notes about the speckle filter parallelisations on multi-, many-core architectures and on GPUs will be given.
