Abstract:
SAR(Synthetic Aperture Radar) is known to be vulnerable to interference signals coming from other communication devices or radar instruments and the generated SAR images may suffer from undesirable performance degradations. In this paper, a modified Eigen-based filter is adopted for SAR processor to suppress various type of interference signals contained in the SAR images. We present simulation results that confirms the efficiency of the Eigen-based algorithm. The proposed algorithm successfully perform the task of interference suppression while the SAR image quality is well preserved. The final result is compared with the case when a conventional notch filter is applied and its superior performance is validated.
