Abstract:
The topographic contribution to the interferometric phase and therefore to the outcome of interferometric surface movement monitoring analysis is being investigated. For this purpose, both the SRTM DEM and a highly accurate DEM derived from the bi-static TanDEM-X mission are being used. The area of interest under investigation is a vegetated open pit lignite mining area in Germany. The seasonal variations of coherence are being addressed by exploiting temporary coherent scatterers. If available, cross comparison with ground truth data is being conducted.
