Abstract:
In this paper we have proposed a model-based decomposition for sea ice scenes consisting of the extended X-Bragg model and a volume component consisting of randomly oriented scattering elements with a free shape parameter. We have applied a heuristically derived algorithm for retrieving the parameter models from observations. The accuracy of the retrieved model parameters are evaluated using a simulated test image.
