Abstract:
We review RADARSAT-2 polarimetric calibration performance over five years of operation during which time over 39,000 quad-polarized Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) images have been acquired. We describe how RADARSAT-2 polarimetric distortion has been characterized and monitored, how corrections have been applied and the ensuing polarimetric calibration accuracy, which is well within performance goals.
