A wireless sensor system working with passive temperature transponders is introduced. Monitoring of temperature overloads in electrical cabinets is targeted as the main application. A system architecture enabling remote monitoring of cabinets is presented. Field distribution in cabinets is analyzed and configuration for reader antenna is proposed. The design of the transponder antenna is shown.
