Abstract:
With the rapid development of social informatization, leased line services such as enterprise interconnections, e-government, and IDC interconnections are increasing demands for high bandwidths, flexible expansion, and low IT costs. Transport Software-defined networking (T-SDN) will be the key to resolving these issues. T-SDN can virtualize and abstract network resources, allow centralized management and control, and construct an open network platform, achieving dynamic adjustment and flexible service grooming and build next-generation "flexible, synergetic, intelligent, and open" transport networks. In our contribution, we would like to discuss the requirements and operational advantages of an end-to-end T-SDN solution.
