Abstract:
For inverse synthetic aperture radar (ISAR), when the target exhibits complex motion or multiple targets exit in the same radar beam, traditional motion compensation method encounters difficulties in generating high-quality range-Doppler image. In this paper, we propose to use sequential ISAR images to monitor targets in a continuous time interval. Signal processing aspects for sequential ISAR imaging are discussed. Experimental results on multiple ground moving targets using a Ka-band radar system are demonstrated. By generating an ISAR movie, the motion information of the targets can be easily interpreted. The ISAR movie also shows good consistency with the optical video.
