Abstract:
Recently, a series of airborne SAR experiments were conducted by RADI (Institute of Remote Sensing and Digital Earth, Chinese Academy of Sciences) in Hainan and Tianjin, China. C- and P-band high-resolution quad-polarization SAR images have been acquired by using airborne SAR sensors design by IECAS (Institute of Electronics, Chinese Academy of Sciences) and CASIC (China Aerospace Science and Industry Corp). In this paper, some preliminary polarimetric calibration results are introduced firstly, then based on these SAR images, its application in land cover classification and 3D imaging in forested area are investigated.
