Abstract:
This paper describes the outline structure of an L-band SAR concept build around an antenna equipped with full electronic 2D steering capability. The paper begins by describing some of the science applications that could be serviced by such a SAR, continues with a description of active radiating element and concludes with description of how arrays of that radiating element can be arranged to provide high resolution wide swath imaging capabilities.
