Abstract:
A novel scheme is presented for slow ground moving target indication through exploiting the statistical distribution of SAR interferogram’s magnitude-phase (M-P) information. Motivated by the difficulty of deriving a theoretical joint pdf that matches various terrain types, a novel 2-D threshold in M-P plane can be derived based on calculus and the involved parameters are estimated from the data. Moreover, a complementary clustering technique is proposed to reduce false alarms. This method is accurate and computationally efficient and can work well even in heterogeneous environments. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by real airborne SAR data.
