Abstract:
Polarimetric Synthetic Aperture Radar (POLSAR) images, having high resolution and multi polarization channels, attract more attentions for ship detection utilization these years. In this paper, we propose a supervised ship detector based on contrast enhance. The polarimetric coherent matrix is used to describe the potential information contained in the images. To make full use of the magnitude and phase of single look complex (SLC) format data, the elements in the weighting vector are complex number. In optimization formula design, we consider both the ship-sea contrast and the disturbance-sea contrast, in order to enhance the ship pixel meanwhile suppress the false alarm pixels. A simulated annealing particle swarm optimization (SA-PSO) is used to search the optimal solution in the complex space. In the validation part, a Fine Quad Radarsat-2 image is used between PWF and the proposed method, which proves the effectiveness and availability of the proposed method.
