Abstract:
The problem of SAR-Tomography is the vertical resolution, dependent to the tomographic antenna aperture. This paper proposes to solve SAR decorrelation problems due to repeat-pass tomography, adding Stepped Linear Frequency Modulation (SLFM) dependency of the scattered echoes using Multi-Chromatic Analysis (MCA). This new approach is called, for the first time, MCA-SARTomography. The technique, allows tomographic reconstruction of vertical reflectivity profiles only starting from one single SAR acquisition, using a Multi-Dimensional Receiver (MDR), managed by Software Defined Radar (SDR). Validation is done on realistic synthetic RAW SAR data-sets.
