Abstract:
The paper describes a system design of future L-band sensor. After the launch of the Japanese 3rd generation Lband SAR satellite, ALOS-2, the possible system design and performance of the next generation L-band SAR system in Japan is being discussed. From the technological point of veiw, the paper focuses on the general possibility of the future SAR performance which will be going to be launched in the early 2020’s. The SAR system parameters for the future mission, such as an observation swath, resolution , polarimetry and so on, is discussed.
