Abstract:
Synthetic aperture radar (SAR) sensors with light-small aircrafts are very sensitive to atmospheric turbulence, which cause serious trajectory deviations. For the very-high-resolution (VHR) case, residual range cell migration (RCM) often exceeds several range resolution cells during the course of the synthetic aperture and thus degrades the image quality substantially. In this paper, a robust autofocus scheme for the correction of residual RCM is presented. Processing results of VHR SAR raw data show excellent performance.
