Abstract:
A novel imaging algorithm for the multi-channel high resolution and wide swath (HRWS) synthetic aperture radar (SAR) is presented. By adding a sparse constraint to the conventional adaptive beamformer, the algorithm can not only suppress the ambiguities, but also reduce the sidelobe level and increase the robustness against the steering error. In addition, the algorithm has no strict requirement for the estimated covariance matrix compared to previous adaptive processing algorithms. Finally, the simulated results validate the proposed algorithms.
