Abstract:
In January 31, 2015, the spaceborne/stationary bistatic synthetic aperture radar (SS-BiSAR) experiment with the transmitter, TerraSAR-X, operated in ST mode was performed by Institute of Electronics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IECAS). To circumvent the main effects caused by the very large integration time in ST mode, corresponding solutions are proposed, including a precise synchronization strategy with troposphere delay correction, a modified and integrative bistatic polar format algorithm (PFA), which is based on two-dimensional fast Gaussian gridding (2-D FGG) nonuniform fast Fourier transform (NuFFT). Furthermore, the very high-resolution (VHR) ST mode SS-BiSAR image processed by the proposed algorithm is acquired.
