Abstract:
In the Internet of Things framework all objects could become online and connected to other things and the rest of the world. In that scenario, the univocal identification of all things is essential and RFID is the technology that could make identification processes easier, especially in the case of passive UHF-RFID. In this paper, an ultra-lightweight algorithm for generating pseudorandom numbers is proposed to simplify the logic circuit of tags. This algorithm could substitute the actual mechanism to generate pseudorandom numbers in tags so as to make their implementation easier and cheaper. Also a new class of simple tags is proposed which could be useful for most identification applications, especially for the less complex ones.
