Abstract:
In this paper, an industrial case study from the EU project LIAA ist presented. The goal of this case study was the implementation of a hybrid workplace for riveting operations. First, the current manual workplace, its processes and KPIs are presented. Next, two cocepts for robot-assisted riveting - developed and evaluated utilizing the LIAA Design Conceptualization Tool - are presented and compared. Then, the paper goes into more detail with regard to the selected concept: the indentified hazards and how they were dealt with in the implemented solution. Finally, the resulting KPIs of the workplace are presented and an outlook on further developments is given.
