Abstract:
We report on recent progress in high-speed SOH modulators. We demonstrate generation of 100 Gbit/s on-off-keying (OOK) and 252 Gbit/s 16QAM signals, as well as amplifier-less, DAC-less 16QAM signaling at peak-to-peak voltages 0.4 Vpp. Thermal stability at 80deg C was shown.
