Abstract:
In the german study Verteilernetzstudie (i.e. Moderne Verteilernetz für Deutschland), a cost-benefit-analysis for different intelligent network technologies was performed. To do so, these intelligent network technologies were modeled with the Smart Grid Architecture Model, which can be used to compare different architectures and analyse installed architectures and migrations scenarios among others. The results accentuate and motivate the differences in complexity and costs of various technology-implementations and technology stacks in the context of the Smart Grid.
