Abstract:
Up until now, mainly technical solutions have been considered for the increase of energy efficiency. However, the interactions of human beings and technology have been neglected so far. Thus, in this work the impact of socio-technical dimensions on the efficient energy supply of urban quarters is shown. In order to derive demand characteristics for such urban quarters, a new simulation methodology is applied, in which the parametrisation of social factors can be used to deduce the change of the supply task. In addition, the design of an efficient energy supply is supported by a novel visualisation tool.
